On feeling curiously comfortable filming in a neighborhood once plagued by drive-bys...
On the beauty of people who are doing what they are good at and love what they are doing...
On watching their faces light up when they are able to catch a glimpse of the fruits of their labors, and like what they see...
On meals served at the most random times of the night...
On the ridiculous silliness that comes with exhaustion...
On the ability to sweet-talk cops at 2 or 3 in the morning into being supportive of a group of young people hanging around a parking structure, filming in and out of a moving vehicle, and shining lights into some one's house...
On sleep in strange spaces...
On improvisation...
On pushing beyond the limits...
On being so exhausted that it takes days to recover...
On wondering why it is taking days to recover...
On being happiest when I am working with good, kind, funny, hard-working people, and being able to, at least in some way, make their experiences more enjoyable...

On feeling like I'm part of something special.
