Clarity Forgotten

I woke up in the middle of the night and suddenly everything was clear. Everything could be explained...
...with complexity theory.

Everything fit. Everything could be proven (not just "failed to disprove" like the usual statistical mumbo jumbo). And while I prefer it when these moments of clarity are less academic (I don't often lay awake considering the scholarly theories of the social sciences), it was a reasonably peaceful moment. Everything made sense.

Now, a few hours later, having slept, awoken, and continued with a "normal" routine, things aren't as clear. What was my reasoning? What was my logic?

Are things less clear now because they are based in reality?

Behold the strangely beautiful messiness of life. The clarity of thought unhindered by the constraints of the world.
