Even if it's only for a moment.
1) Break into every staff member's office at 10 p.m. on Sunday night.
2) Place on their desks the following items:
->1 flowery lei
->1 shiny pinwheel or small bottle of bubbles
->1 homemade morning glory muffin
->1 handmade sign with a quotation about smiles
->1 kung fu panda invitation to a s'mores party during lunch
3) Giggle profusely with fellow cahooting employee upon arrival in the morning.
4) Provide staff with s'mores during lunch (after ensuring supervisors that they were heated in the microwave and not over candles with plastic forks). Bring music.
Signs that it might have actually worked (even if it's only temporarily):
-> 3/4s of staff actually show up to a spontaneously planned brown bag lunch despite not checking a single schedule.
-> all staff wear their flower leis the entire day, even while just sitting at their desks sending emails.
-> the planning of the morale booster is particularly fun for the planners (not to mention the most productive thing they did on Friday).
Let's see what Tuesday brings.

I like that. Maybe I'll get our staff connectedness PLC to do something of the sort :).
"staff connectedness PLC"? Hmm...
"Principle Liaison of Comfort"
"Professionally Lazy Curmudgeon"
"Painfully Lonely Chairperson"
That must be it. :-)
